Privacy Policy

This notice explains how JoBrilliant handles personal information when you browse the site or submit an application.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Who this notice covers

This Privacy Policy applies when you browse the JoBrilliant website, complete the candidate quiz, submit an application or contact us. JoBrilliant provides a recruitment and job-matching service and is responsible for deciding how information submitted through this website is used.

Information we collect

When you apply, we collect your quiz answers, first name, last name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, country, CV and any optional text notes you provide. The current application does not ask you to upload a cover letter.

When you browse or submit information, the hosted application and its security systems may process technical data such as your IP address, browser or device information, request time, pages requested and security or error logs. The quiz also uses browser session storage to preserve your progress in the current browser session.

How and why we use information

We use candidate information to receive and manage applications, understand skills and preferences, review suitability, communicate with candidates, and match candidates with potential roles or recruitment opportunities. Authorised JoBrilliant staff may review applications. Candidate information and CVs may be shared with relevant prospective employers or recruitment clients where this is appropriate for job-matching or recruitment purposes.

Depending on the activity, processing may be necessary to take steps requested by you before entering into a contract, to pursue legitimate interests in operating a recruitment and job-matching service, to comply with legal obligations, or to act with your consent where consent is the appropriate basis. The basis that applies can depend on the circumstances and any additional service terms.

Storage, notifications and service providers

Applications and quiz answers are stored in the application’s cloud database. Candidate documents are kept in private cloud storage and are accessed by authorised staff through time-limited secure download links. Access controls restrict the staff administration area and private documents.

After a successful application, the system processes a candidate confirmation email and an admin notification to arthurbandemer@gmail.com. Email delivery depends on the configured and verified sender domain. If email is unavailable, the application remains stored and the delivery result is logged rather than blocking the applicant.

The application uses Lovable-hosted services for the website, cloud database, private storage and authentication, together with the email service integrated into the application. These providers process information only as needed to supply and secure the service. We do not list transfer locations that have not been confirmed; where personal information is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards are required under applicable data-protection law.

Retention and security

No fixed deletion period is currently stated because retention depends on operational and legal requirements and should be reviewed periodically. Information should not be kept longer than reasonably needed for the purposes described in this notice, legal obligations, disputes or record-keeping requirements.

Security measures include restricted staff access, role-based permissions, private document storage, time-limited document links, server-side validation and rate limiting. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to reduce risk.

Your data-protection rights

Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or to object to certain processing. Some rights depend on the circumstances and may be limited by lawful exceptions. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To make a privacy request, contact info@jobrilliant.com. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to address your concern.

Children and other websites

The service is intended for people seeking work and is not designed for children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact info@jobrilliant.com so the situation can be reviewed.

The website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and JoBrilliant is not responsible for how those third parties handle information.

Cookies and contact

The website uses limited necessary session, security and browser-storage technologies. It does not currently deploy optional analytics or marketing cookies. See the Cookies notice for details and browser controls.
